We're excited to welcome you to Johnson City, Texas this year for our annual Lights Spectacular season from November 29, 2025 - January 4, 2026.
While the courthouse undergoes improvements, activities and displays are now located in alternate locations throughout town. The spectacular lights, entertainment, and community spirit that make Johnson City "The Twinkliest Town in Texas" remain exactly the same – just in new locations.
The courthouse lighting will not be available due to the construction, but don't worry! Memorial Park and the PEC headquarters feature over 1 million lights on spectacular oak trees, plus colorful themed displays.
Street parking is still available along non-residential downtown streets. Arrive early for the best spots!
Light Spectacular is entirely volunteer-run by a dedicated board and depends on our amazing community for support! We're accepting sponsorships for this year's event, and every contribution helps us keep this magical tradition free for all families. Visit our Sponsorship Page or contact us directly to learn more about sponsorship opportunities.
The lights turn on at dusk, at 5:45 pm, and run until midnight. For the best experience with fewer crowds, visit on weeknights. Weekend evenings are more festive but busier.
